It doesn’t take much thought to realize that humans are not meant to be ingesting the chemically-altered, processed junk that we consume these days. Continuing evidence of increasingly unhealthy humans is all around us…in the news, in the statistics, in the growing portion sizes and in the ever-expanding clothing lines. Humans are dooming themselves, and their health.
Some may argue that the Paleo diet is extreme, however I counter that argue with the fact that the food we are presented with in the supermarkets and in restaurants, compared to what ‘food’ used to be, is itself extreme.
The Paleo diet is the only diet that includes truly healthy food, food that we have been eating since the dawn of man…food that kept the cavemen fit, strong and lean. And guess what?? Those on the Paleo diet have more delicious options than you may think, including this delicious pizza (& crust) recipe!
1 1/2 Cup Coconut flour
5 Tablespoons Psyllium Husk powder
2 Teaspoons of baking powder
1 Teasspoon of Celtic Sea Salt
8 Egg whites
1 Cup boiling water
2 or 3 cloves of garlic ground
Oregeno and Basil to taste
Preheat oven to 350F
Combine coconut flour, psyllium husk powder, baking powder, oregano, basil and celtic sea salt in a glass bowl. (You will be adding boiling water, so glass etc. is needed).
(We can't find baking powder, so make a substitute which is half baking soda and half Braggs Apple Cider vinegar and that works well).
And egg whites and ground garlic and mix until it is a thick dough.
Add cup of boiling water directly from the stove.
Mix well and slowly untl the dough firms again
Place on baking paper on a cooking sheet and put into the oven to bake for 65 minutes.
Flip on other side for about 10 minutes (optional)
This is the fun part…you can vary with just about any topping you desire. Start with an organic pizza sauce of your choice. Then add anything you like, such as onion, gouda cheese, tomatoes, green peppers, olives and pasteurized chicken. (Other toppings can include broccoli, kale, spinach, bok choy and whatever else is available.)
