This pizza dough recipe is so easy. It literally takes only five minutes (not including rising) and tastes amazing.
Ingredients:
Directions:
Mix the yeast with the warm water and add the honey. Stir it with a fork until the mix gets frothy.
In a large bowl stir the flour and salt together, then create a well in the centre of these dry ingredients. Slowly pour the liquid ingredients into the well and gather the flour up from outside to the inside of the well and mix all the ingredients together.
Dump the mix onto a flat surface and begin kneading. Add some flour a little at a time if the mixture is too sticky. Continue kneading the dough for about five minutes until it's smooth. Next, form a round shape with the dough, slice a cross in the top and dust it with flour.
Put the dough back in the bowl and cover it with a tea towel or cling film. Leave it in a warm place for two or three hours until the dough doubles in size.
This recipe makes two large pizzas or four small pizzas.

Hi Jason--just wanted to highilght another great pizzeria near NYU -- Pizza Mezzaluna at 146 W Houston St (@MacDougal) -- it's my husband's (Francesco Vitale) place so of course I'm biased -- He's from Salerno Italy and has been a pizzaiolo for a little over 20 years -- worked at the UES Mezzaluna for years when he first came to NYC (he's been in NY about 13 years)--anyway, we're not so good at marketing the place but Ed Levine from Slice.com came over about a year ago and gave it thumbs up -- come over sometime and have a pizza -- Francesco mans the oven all day Wed-Sat and lunchtime on Mon and Tues -- hope to see you around -- yeah pizza!!Lili
I tried this out and it was super good and simple to make.
