I had no clue that Pizza Bites were so simple to make. Follow this recipe for a great appetizer at parties, fun after school snack, or even make it a meal. This recipe is from Pillsbury and I tweaked it a little to make it my own.
Ingredients:
2 Pillsbury pizza crusts unthawed
1 bag of mozzarella cheese cubes halved
1/2 cup of olive oil
1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese
1 package of mini pepperonis
1 bag of cheddar cheese cubes halved
1 jar of real bacon bits
2 cups of your favorite pizza sauce
Garlic Dipping Sauce:
1 cup of melted cream cheese
2 tablespoons of minced garlic
1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
Pre-heat your oven and stone to 400ºF and grease a large glass pan (13x9). Cut pizza dough into 24 even squares, place a half cube of each type of cheese, 1 pepperoni, a dollop of sauce, and lightly sprinkle of bacon bits over each square.
Fold together each bite and lightly press edges together. Put seam side down in greased pan right next to other pizza bites. You want them all touching when you are finished putting them together.
In a small bowl mix olive oil and Italian seasoning together then brush over the top of the pizza bites. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top and place in oven for 15 minutes or until the dough becomes a nice golden brown color.
Allow these bites to settle a few minutes, meanwhile, mix garlic dipping sauce ingredients together heat up along side of your pizza sauce for dipping.
Dish out and enjoy!!
