Hawaiian pizza is a flavorful dish that will have your taste buds screaming Aloha! Despite it's name the Hawaiian pizza does not hail from Hawaii, it is not even a pizza that was created in the United States. The Hawaiian pizza is said to come from Ontario, Canada. The pizza was a marketing tool used by two shop owners to take advantage of a popular Beach Boys song and the fact that Hawaii had been added to the Union. Grass Skirts and coconuts were taking over the media; Sam Panopoulos and his brother Nick took full advantage of this trend. The pizza happened to take off and is now a staple on almost every parlor's menu!
