No matter how much I love pizza; there are two things I hate about it. It's so hard to cut through all the toppings and crust, and the toppings always want to slide off the pizza slice when I try to serve it to someone. Sometimes I wish I could roll it into a giant cannoli and just eat it that way. So I was surprised to hear about the pizza scissors. It's a type of pizza cutter that has a two-in-one function of a scissors and a spatula.
Like a hot knife through pepperoni, this tool easily cuts through the pizza no matter how many toppings there are. I could put surgeons to shame with the precision cuts I make with these pizza scissors. Once I cut the slice, I have the spatula part right there to flip the slice onto the plate. It's the best pizza cutter that I've seen that keeps my fingers safe from being burnt when lifting the hot pizza. This is really good because I am always getting burn marks on me. I do not know how long they take to wear down nor can I comment on how easy it is sharpen the blades. The one I purchased seems pretty durable, I will update this if they give out or I find a fault in them.
While I use less utensils, it does become hard to get all the cheese and tomato gunk out between the two blades without giving it a good soaking. Right-handed people will use it easily like it's an extension of their hand, but left-handed people might find it a struggle to use. I hope they have a lefty version. The pizza scissors that have the spatula on the bottom of the blade has caused pizza to land on the floor... which was my mistake. I have had to make multiple cuts on larger size pizzas, and if I cut the slice too large it might tip off the spatula...although the dog loves when that happens. This may get better in time once I get using them down. I prefer the ones where it is to the side. The Dreamfarm video that I presented does not have a spatula it only lifts, but the idea is still the same.
Besides finding a few small issues, I really like all versions of this tool. It's the best pizza cutter I've used. This is a great idea to get your foodie friends for birthdays and stocking stuffers too. The prices are reasonable and they come in awesome shapes and colors. Happy slicing y'all!!
