Trump & Leaders Saving ZTE
Future of Pizza Equipment & Business Hangs in the Balance - Trump & ZTE- battle continues.
In recent news, ZTE, a Chinese giant telecommunications firm has had our own president, Donald Trump, fighting to keep ZTE from going down the drain. ZTE in recent history has not at all been innocent in the eyes of the American government. ZTE, partially owned by the Chinese government, in 2017 had been accused and charged in relation to illegally shipping to Iran telecom equipment that contained U.S. parts, according to a WashingtonPost online article. In Trump’s defense, it was never meant to have ZTE go out of business, but rather to have them abide by the sanctions programs as stated by Steven Mnuchin, Treasury Secretary, speaking to a Senate subcommittee. As far as others speculating that Trump has been going easy on the ZTE giant, he has also mentioned that he and his administration were the ones who shut down ZTE in the first place. If the process falls apart of Chinese leaders not cooperating, there will be sanctions placed on Chinese exports to the United States.
This is an extremely important matter that if not handled for both favors, China and United States, many businesses in the United States as well in China may take harsh hits in revenue for the next years.
If you are importing pizza equipment or possibly accessories, how will this affect your business? What is your viewpoint on this issue? Do you think Trump and his administration are making smart moves or for the first time losing a battle with Chinese leaders in regards to Chinese importing/exporting industry? Is Trump’s move for imposing higher tariffs or imposing fines enough to keep the Chinese companies from getting around laws imposed by the United States government? Will this battle lead to a national security risk for United States?
