You will need:
3 Measures of Flour
2 TeaS of Dry Yeast
1 1/4 Measure of Milk
½ Measure Oil Olive
¾ Measure Sugar
1 Egg
1 TeaS Ground Cardamom
Mix the flour and the Ground Cardamom. Heat the milk to a lukewarm temperature and mix the sugar. Add the oil and flour mix well using a hand blender or muscle grease.
Knead the ready dough mix a little on a well floured surface and place in an oiled covered container to rest for 20 minutes.
Take out the dough, knead a little more, cut into the required size (about 1oz for 1” each of dough, so 10” crust would require approx 10 oz of dough and so on), roll into a ball and place on a flat floured surface. Cover with film or a moist clean rag. Leave for 30-45 minutes or until the dough balls are approx twice the size you started with.
Flatten using a rolling pin, place on a pizza screen or pizza disk. Apply sauce and toppings. You can brush the edge using the well beaten egg and place in a pre-heated [500’F] hot oven. Do not peek by opening the oven. Take out when the crust is golden brown around the edge.
You can use this dough to make wonderful rolls also. Instead of cutting into balls, roll some of the dough into a snake and brush with the egg mix. You can sprinkle some sugar on the bread and place on a baking sheet and cook till golden brown in a 350’F oven. Enjoy.
