From Wunder-Bar Dispensing Systems, out of California enters the next 'revolution in sauce application' with their Auto Saucers. Created to improve the quality and consistency of your product, this modern marvel completely eliminates one step in the pizza production process...eliminating up to 400 labor hours a year according to the manufacturer.
The Wunder-Bar Sauce Dispenser is capable of saucing up to 350 pizzas per hour and features settings for various sizes of pizzas and options such as extra sauce and light sauce. Simply place the dough on the turntable, press the appropriate command button and within seconds you will have a perfectly-controlled portion of sauce spread evenly onto the dough. I must say the results are far more consistent and accurate than the results of the average human saucing. Incorporating the Sauce Dispensers into your production line can definitely streamline your process, save money via portion control and aid in product consistency, but I can’t bring myself to buy into the time-saving claims made by the manufacturer. Judging from the video, at least, I’m not so sure that the Wunder-Bar will be saving anyone any time. Perhaps there is a speed control feature?
Wunder-Bar states the claim "Sauce the perfect pizza, each and every time" which is really not a claim for their product as much as it is a claim about the pizzas their machine will be saucing...but a good way to appeal to your end-users by complimenting their product!
There are currently two Wunder-Bar Sauce Dispenser System models available; one model is for Ready-to-Use sauce and the other model is for Mix in Place Sauce. The Mix in Place model combines water with sauce to obtain the perfect finished product.
Has anyone out there incorporated one of these units into their prep line? We’d love to some reviews.
