In recent news, come to find out that the new tariffs placed earlier this year are now getting China disgusted by the actions of Trump's administration on deciding that tariffs on steel imports and aluminum should be raised. Through this, China reacts with raising their tariffs on goods going towards the U.S.A and Russia is not far behind. Russia has also taken a hit with these higher tariffs. The higher tariffs were meant to protect U.S. jobs as mentioned in this BBC online article. It may be only steel imports along with aluminum right now, but if this back and forth battle of raising tariffs continues, how will other goods that are imported by affected for all other businesses who import from China and Russia?
As a restaurant owner, what supplies do you rely on to keep your business going that with this battle of tariffs placed on goods may harm your business?
As far as what is going on in the administration there is conflict between parties where those who may not take this aggressive approach are just sitting silently while the others who are for Trump's decision on tariffs are continuing to declare all of the former decisions boldly.
Also to note, there is also a chance that economically this may even lead to a possible recession in the near future.
